I have started and developed cardiac surgery department at Shri Sai Baba Hospital Shirdi. I worked as Head of Department & consultant cardiac surgeon at Shri Sai Baba Hospital, Shirdi since June 2006 till March 2016. I have performed more than 8000 adult and paediatric Cardiac surgeries. I have performed surgeries for patients of seventh and eighth decades. My surgical results are equivalent to international standard.

I have joined as Head of Department and consultant Cardio Thoracic surgeon at SMBT Medical College Hospital and Research centre since April 2016. SMBT Medical college is rural Hospital and I have started and developed cardiac surgery department. I have trained staff nurses and RMO at Cardiac OT and ICU.

I have special interest for surgery of congenital Heart disease. I started performing and training juniors for congenital heart surgeries in rural Maharashtra. Its challenging and interesting to perform congenital heart surgery in rural set up considering all types of limitations and surprises during surgery.

Teaching

I have completed a course in MEDICAL EDUCATION TECHNOLOGY in 2004. I have teaching experience of more than 10 years. I have been involved in teaching junior registrars, medical students, physiotherapists, perfusionists and nursing staff members. I am training junior cardiac surgeons and guiding them for progressing as Consultant Cardiac Surgeon.
